If I'd stayed, I would have visited the White Hart pub on the right, which had some interesting ale. The ambulance messed up the picture a bit.

High Street, Halstead
This is the main road the A131 that runs through Halstead. As with many former market towns, the main street is wide with plenty of room for parking.
