The Locomotive, Halstead
A grade II listed building, formerly two buildings from the mid 17th and late 18th centuries. The buildings pre-date the name, which arises from the coming of the railway to Halstead in 1860.

Former cinema, Trinity Street, Halstead
A cinema from 1916 until 1963, opened as the Colne Valley Cinema, later The Picture House and then The Savoy. The repainting in garish colours in 2009 provoked some local adverse reaction. It was for the conversion into the 'Kids Playhouse Cafe'. This has now closed.
