Gandish Road at crossroads in East Bergholt
Opposite at this crossroads is Flatford Road and to the left White Horse Road, whereas Rectory Hill is to the right. In the angle is a white painted, Grade II listed which dates from the early 16th C. Named Burnt Oak Cottages, or The Town House; in 1654 this building was bought by the Parish Overseers for housing paupers. Nowadays it has English Heritage Building ID: 278713.
