Carved stone post by the UC road, in parish of WEST BERGHOLT (COLCHESTER District), roadside, by the West side of road. Erected by an unknown authority in the 19th century. Inscription not recorded. The best of the crop has already gone. A nearby house is called "Pippins", and Manor Farm shop sells Red Pippin apple juice. No coincidence at all.
