Old Post Office Kelvedon High Street
This building is now a private residence. It was at the time of the photograph the Village post office with the village sorting office to the rear. It is situated on the corner of the High Street and Orchard Road.

The near block and the yellow house are unlisted. The white part of the far block, 169 - 173 (odds) was formerly one house, 15th century, altered subsequently, and is grade II listed. Addresses 175 - 181 High Street are down the alley between the two blocks.

A grade II listed row of late 18th century cottages, some since converted to shops and, at the far end, a pub, but now they all seem to have reverted to cottages. The pub was The George.
