Boudica's Spirit? Colchester
This sculpture stands on a roundabout near Colchester North Station. It is said to represent Boudica (she was Boadicea when I was at school) queen of the Iceni who sacked Colchester in AD60. The work was created by Jonathan Clarke in 1999

Colchester Station Ipswich end
The Great Eastern mainline looking towards Manningtree and Ipswich on a cold morning. A train load of empty freightliner flats approaches Colchester bound for Stratford in East London. Note the frost on the sleepers where the sun has not reached.
