Born and bred in Colchester & I never knew this "Village Green" existed until today.

Stanway Landfill Site Gas Valve Compound
The Image is on the site of Colchester's municipal dump. I am not sure if the methane from the site is used to generate electricity, however there was the unmistakable sound of a gas turbine coming from behind the fence.
