Frinton-on-Sea: Frinton Court, The Esplanade
For the most part the residential properties on The Esplanade overlooking The Greensward are two or three storey structures of a consistent scale. However there are a couple of post-war blocks of apartments, of which Frinton Court is one, that dominate the landscape. The block is visible in the distance from Image for example. The site was developed by Rush and Tompkins and appears to have been first marketed in 1964, described as 61 two or three bedroomed flats with a selling price from £5,250 leasehold, and only eighty minutes by train to Liverpool Street. Today, if the trains are on time, they are scheduled to take about an hour and forty minutes for the same journey.

The Old Church of St Mary the Virgin, Frinton-on-Sea
This tiny church was the parish church of the original hamlet of Frinton. When this was developed as a seaside resort in the late nineteenth century, a new and larger church was built to replace this one, but the old church remained in its place as one of the few reminders of the village that stood here before.
