Spanish Bluebells
These are Spanish Bluebells (Hyacinthoides hispanica), you can distinguish between them and the Native Bluebell Image as they are taller paler and have less scent. However the most distinguishing feature is that they have flowers all round the stem whereas the natives have flowers on one side only and tend bow down on one side. http://www.nhm.ac.uk/nature-online/british-natural-history/survey-bluebells/bluebell-identification/index.html these were in Pedlars Wood Nature Reserve Image

Seat in Pedlars Wood
Pedlars Wood is a small nature reserve in Frinton on Sea. It has two parts either side of Central Avenue the western half is open to the public the eastern piece has an educational trail and is open by appointment only. In the background you can see the Spanish version of the Bluebell Image these are hybridising with our native Bluebell Image giving cause for concern that the British native may become extinct.

The Leas, Frinton-on-Sea
The last section of clifftop road in Frinton when heading towards Walton. An inland route is needed to get from one to the other. There seems no physical obstacle, just a matter of land ownership.
