The Old Hall, Dovercourt
This old hall is the most notable landmark in the centre of this square. It is on the edge of a large 1970s housing estate and separated from the sea promenade by a large sportsground.

Anyone for cricket?
On the Sports Ground at Dovercourt. A row of colourful beach huts can be seen on the edge of the field. The players are clad in traditional whites - unlike the jazzy colours now worn by professional cricketers.

Essex Way passes in front of Beach Huts, Dovercourt
On arriving at Dovercourt, the Essex Way passes by a row of colourful and individual beach huts.
They continue round the corner and stretch for some considerable distance.
