Lloyds Bank, Market Hill, CO10
This Georgian house was built in 1767/8 by a wealthy local rector. {Source: Sudbury Town Trail booklet.} The building is Grade II* listed "A large C18 building, with most of its original external features. 3 storeys and cellars, red brick front with parapet and cornice returned road East and West sides. Treble span roof, hipped East and West, and tiled. Front has 5 window range, sash with glazing bars and central splay bay over pedimented Ionic porch. Enlarged modern bank window in lieu of two windows ground floor, right" http://list.english-heritage.org.uk/resultsingle.aspx?uid=1351389 . Shame about the single, modern and totally out-of-keeping window on the ground floor (right) and the cash machine.

Mediaeval building, King Street, CO10
The 19th C Regency facade conceals a mediaeval merchant's house. The delicate ornamental window and the cast iron balcony are particularly distinctive features. The building housed a bakery for most of the 19th C and well into the 20th. {Source: Sudbury Town Trail booklet.}

Sudbury St Peter?s church
The most prominent of Sudbury’s three major churches, and the only one which is redundant as a church. Supported by The Churches Conservation Trust, it is preserved in the hope that one day it may again be used for worship. It is usually locked but the nearby tourist office will direct you to the key. Entry is through the west door of the tower. Inside you will find a large empty space surrounded by large empty walls apart from publicity for the Churches Conservation Trust and some information about the church. Behind curtains in what was a chapel are piles of chairs waiting to be set out for an audience. The 15th century octagonal font has a nice conical cover. Below the sanctuary is a sacristy, accessible through a sunken doorway. There are two piscinæ
, one in the nave, the other adjacent to the panel-lined sedilia in the chancel.
