Oxley Meadow
This is Oxley Meadow a nature reserve owned by Essex Wildlife Trust http://www.essexwt.org.uk/visitor_centres__nature_reserves/oxley_meadows_nature_reserve/ it is important because of the rare Image and adderstongue ferns that grow here. Grape Hyacinth
When I posted this picture I thought I had found some rare piece of flora. However I am now reliably informed it is Muscari neglectum. I came to Image in a hunt for this years crop of Image This single specimen was in grave danger of being crushed by the wheels of the next vehicle that entered the car park.
