New Mill/Warner's Mill, South Street/Silks Way, Braintree, Essex
One of the mill buildings, 'New Mill' is now in use as separate business and residential units. The oriental type pagoda and garden on the right of the picture is part of a chinese food restaurant on the end of the building, just out of the camera shot! A Museum and visitors centre is at the rear of this building and houses the Warner Silk Collection.

Strange sculptures, Braintree
The one on the right is not so strange, it is carved from wood to tell us we are entering the John Ray Park. There a lot of information inscribed beneath. On top is what seems to be a representation of hawthorn leaves and berries. The pillar on the left is a different matter. It is a grotesque pile of stones and strange animal forms.
