Easton Lodge Halt, near Great Dunmow
Easton Lodge Halt was a station on the railway line which linked the towns of Bishop's Stortford, Great Dunmow and Braintree. The station was built primarily for the owners of Easton Lodge, a mile or two to the north, and their visitors. The station closed in 1952, but the crossing keeper's house survives as a private dwelling. More information about Easton Lodge Halt can be found on the Disused Stations website: http://www.disused-stations.org.uk/e/easton_lodge/ The dismantled railway line now forms much of the route of Flitch Way, a traffic-free route for walking and cycling. Here, however, Flitch Way diverts off the former railway for a short distance as it passes the former station.

Roundabout on the Dunmow Interchange
The old and new A120 connect here. The old road has just been reduced to 30mph and had various housing estates built along it all with their own little roundabouts.

Easton Lodge halt on the former Bishop's Stortford to Braintree line. Immediately ahead was the level crossing and the halt just to the left. The road off to the bottom left leads to the banana ripening factory. The trackbed is now a footpath and cycle route.
