Mill Green Common Habitat
Lowland Heath has become a very rare habitat in Essex these day's. Mill Green Common still has healthy patches of heather. With the decline of common grazing active management of the land owner is required to prevent heathland turning into secondary woodland.

Mill Green Common
Mill Green Common has been in the ownership of the Petre family of Image for around 400 years. It seems much bigger than the 0.05 hectares shown on the common land website see http://common-land.com/lands/view/1409 The notice board says there are no rights of way across it but the Noble Lord is happy for the public to walk and to take quiet exercise on the common.
