Althorne Station
Althorne Station, on the branch to Southminster, is some way from the Althorne village although there are a few houses in the immediate vicinity. There is also a small community garden at the eastern end of the platform, the remaining vestige of the station garden which won many awards in the days when the station had its own staff.
