Old houses in Moulsham Street
This block of old terraced houses were founded by Thomas Mildmay Esq. of Moulsham Hall, in 1565. They were rebuilt by William Mildmay Esq., also of Moulsham Hall, in 1758. The Mildmay family were the main landowners in Chelmsford from the mid 16th century to the 18th century.
