Old houses in Moulsham Street
This block of old terraced houses were founded by Thomas Mildmay Esq. of Moulsham Hall, in 1565. They were rebuilt by William Mildmay Esq., also of Moulsham Hall, in 1758. The Mildmay family were the main landowners in Chelmsford from the mid 16th century to the 18th century.

Moulsham Street
Moulsham Street follows the course of the Roman road from London to Colchester. There are several listed buildings on the street, some dating to the 16th century or earlier. The white weatherboarded building is late 18th or early 19th century.

The Orange Tree Lower Anchor St
