Springfield Place is a large 18th century house. The south face has nine bays with two-bay projecting wings. It stands to the east of the church, overlooking the village green.

A fine early C18th facade - the rather cramped proportions give the game away - the projecting bays topped by Diocletian windows. Tuscan doorcase and a fine array of chimneystacks. Grade II listed. The date of the photo is uncertain.
