Housham Tye
This roadside green is a reminder of the meaning of the word "Tye": A Tye is a grazing pasture, often used by drovers from afar taking livestock to market.

The word is sometimes seen as a dialect word and is used in South Suffolk, Essex, Kent and Sussex, possibly from the Old English tēag: "small enclosure".
