A Weald Park Oak
Weald Country Park is noted as an “Ancient Tree Site” by the Woodland Trust http://www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/en/Pages/default.aspx this Oak has a girth in excess of five metres and is home to a warren of rabbits in its roots. Just one of many veteran trees in the park. The Conservation Lake
No fishing here! This is the smaller of the two large lakes in Weald Park. It is thought they may have originally been medieval fish ponds however they were extensively modified during major landscaping in the eighteenth century.
