Carved stone post by the A129, in parish of BILLERICAY (BASILDON District), London Road, East end of bus layby, on open grassed area. Granite, on South side of road. Erected by the Rochford Hundred (Division of Essex First District) turnpike trust in the 19th century.
Inscription reads:- : LONDON / 29 / SOUTHEND / 18 / MILES :
