Burnham on Crouch Clock Tower
Looking through the clock tower - one of Burnham's most recognisable buildings. It was built in 1877 and dedicated to the memory of Laban Sweeting a local oyster merchant renowned for his philanthropy.

Houses and clock tower, High Street, Burnham-on-Crouch
The near pair of houses are grade II listed, Victorian. The near corner was once converted to a shop with a corner door, it has been reconverted. The clock tower, built 1877, and the former school it is attached to, are not listed.

Burnham-on-Crouch: school house in the High Street
This school building stands on the south side of the High Street, with its imposing clock tower forming an arch over the pavement. An inscription in the clock tower states that the buildings were restored and enlarged in 1863.

Clock Tower - Burnham-on-Crouch
Built in 1877 it is a red brick octagonal tower with black brick quoins and diapering. It is of 4 stages surmounted by an open cupola with a fish scale tiled ogee shaped roof.
