Row of stone cottages in Ffynnongroyw
This is the start of a linear mining village that was either side of what was the main Coastal road. It is now by-passed and the Wales Coast Path follows this road as access to the "coast" is impossible at this point.

Mostyn Bank
Mostyn Bank is a huge mudflat that provides ideal feeding for wading birds and shelduck in winter. The Dee estuary is one of the most important estuaries in Britain and over 130.000 birds spend their winters here. The railway carries the London to Holyhead train.

Choice of routes
The Wales Coastal Path cannot stay on the coast as the railway, and further east, Mostyn Docks, are both secure sites. The direct route is along the A548 but an alternative is offered to avoid this, and the sign reflects the choice.

Tabernacle Baptist Chapel
Tabernacle Baptist Chapel was built in 1892 in the Simple Gothic style of the gable-entry type. By the late twentieth century Tabernacle had been converted for use as auction rooms and then later into a house.
