The Old Court, Caerwys
Possibly of medieval origin and the site of a court of the Welsh princes. If so it was rebuilt in the C15 by the Mostyn family whose manorial courts were held there. Until 1672 it was a place of meeting of the courts of Great Sessions, and subsequently was used as Judges' Lodgings for the Assize Court. It remained a magistrate's court until 1869 when the new Sessions House in Water Street was built.
