The Ship, Flint
The Ship which has served as an inn from the 1860s, possibly earlier, is conveniently located opposite the Flint town hall and Market Square, where a weekly market is still held. The railway station is also nearby.

Badly damaged bench mark and bolt on Flint Town Hall
For many years this 1GL bench mark and bolt has been hidden from view behind a large black box, but the box has now been changed and the bolt has been revealed. The angled marks protruding from behind the new box suggest that the cut mark is on the left of the bolt. See also Image]

Southeast corner of Flint Town Hall
The remains of a 1GL bench mark and bolt are on the corner of the town hall, just this side of the grey box. For many years a black box has stood against the wall, but now a new box has been placed across the pavement partially revealing the bench mark - see Image For a photo of the town hall with the black box see Image
