St Thomas?s Church, Parkgate
Built in 1843, St. Thomas’s in Mostyn Square is a Grade II listed sandstone church in the Parkgate Conservation Area ensuring the charm of the old port and village is safeguarded. Traditional associations with the fishing community have led to St Thomas’s being known, affectionately, as the ‘Fisherman’s Church’. For more than ten years the Bishop's Trust, with help from a joint English Heritage and Heritage Lottery Fund grant of £40,000, has been working to restore and renovate the building, both as a focal point for village activities and a place of worship.
