New Overleigh Cemetery - Shelter Gable End
The 'new' Overleigh Cemetery was opened in 1879 and is on the south side of Overleigh Road, opposite the old cemetery. This half timbered gable end on the northern end of the Victorian shelter is all the more remarkable because the southern end of the shelter has a plain brick wall. This end is the one that would have been seen by the mourners exiting the cemetery chapel, so maybe the other end was considered to be unimportant.

The Lodge on the Duke's Drive
This lodge house is by the gates to the so called Duke's Drive near the Overleigh roundabout. The drive used to lead to Eaton Hall, the home of the Duke of Westminster, however, the A55 cut through the drive and so it can no longer fulfil its original purpose.
