The path which I think follows the old path of Carr Lane, a road between Hoylake and Newton. From here the footpath follows the hedge for about 200-300metres, and then turns to the right and follows an track/farm road to Saughall Massie Road.

Public footpath from Gilroy Road to Hoylake
