The Brighton Hotel, Brighton Street, Wallasey
A "jolly Gothic pub" thought Pevsner. Built 1886. Rubble with ashlar dressings, and a fine collection of gables and a corner turret. Grade II listed.

Town Hall, Brighton Street, Wallasey
"A strikingly monumental building for so unmonumental a town. Characteristically, it faces nothing more than a couple of ends of terraces and a jolly Gothic pub". By Briggs. Wolstenholme & Thornely, 1914-20. The tower must have been inspired by the mausoleum at Halicarnassus (Image]). Grade II listed.

Wallasey Town Hall was designed by Briggs, Wolstenholme and Thornley and built between 1914-1920 in limestone with Welsh slate roofs. The town hall is a Grade II listed building.
