Former Parr's Bank Building
Inscription in stoneword reading "Parr's Bank Limited" can just be made out on this building in Wallasey, shame part of it has been painted over. ** Parr's Bank Limited was a bank that existed from 1782 to 1918. It was founded as Parr & Co. in Warrington, then in the county of Lancashire in the United Kingdom. In 1918 it was acquired by London County and Westminster Bank, and it was thus one of the predecessors of NatWest Group. ** Courtesy Wikipedia

Former cinema, Borough Road, Wallasey
A theatre opened on this site in 1899. After a fire in 1908 it was rebuilt, became the La Scala Theatre in 1912, the Hippodrome Theatre in 1918, and the Embassy Luxury Theatre in 1936. A succession of owners followed. Its life as a cinema ended as early as 1959, after which it was used for all the usual things - nightclub, bingo hall - before completely shutting down in 2012. At the time of this photo it looked disused, but "by June 2017 it was a furniture store, and by May 2018 it is a gymnasium." Information from cinematreasures.org. Some nice decorative detail survives: Image
