The Cinder Path, Saltney Ferry
You can't stop progress, so the Cinder Path is now tarmac. However, it is much improved, and running between the Holyhead to Chester rail line on the left, and St David's High School playing fields on the right, it is a better, safer route between the Mainwaring Estate and St David's Terrace.

Saltney Ferry Road and Mold Junction railway bridge
This photo shows how Saltney Ferry Road was moved east, and taken over a bridge, when the level of rail traffic made the original level crossing, shown on the 1892 O.S. map, impractical. The old road now provides access to P.Dobbins scrap yard. There is a bench mark on the very end of the stone wall facing the camera but it is almost completely hidden by the raised pavement - see Image

Hidden bench mark on Mold Junction railway bridge
Only part of the horizontal line of this bench mark is still visible above the raised pavement level. It is recorded at this location on the O.S. database.
