Holy Trinity Church, Blacon
Built in 1960, Blacon's C of E parish church has the full name of Holy Trinity Without The Walls, a very old fashioned sounding name for a modern church. Before present day Blacon was developed in the 1960s this area was part of the old parish of Blacon cum Crabwall, with a distant Parish Church of the Holy Trinity way off in Chester. http://www.ukbmd.org.uk/genuki/chs/churches/chester-holy%20trinity.html This was closed in 1960 and replaced by this church in the middle of the newly developed suburb. http://www.ukbmd.org.uk/genuki/chs/churches/chester-holy%20trinity%20without.html hence Without, as in outside, the Walls.

Welcome to Blacon
Looking along Blacon Greenway at the site of Blacon Old Station. The white fences seem to represent level crossing gates, although I don't believe there was ever a level crossing on this site. This track is part of the Sustrans National Cycle Network Route 5.

Colourful School, Blacon
I don't remember our school being as bright as this one. It was a drab sort of place.
