Wetherspoon pub in the town centre, on the corner of Cardiff Road and Clive Street. The pub opened in October 2011. Here's http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2757913 how the building looked in 2001. In a 14-year career, Malcolm Uphill won the production class at the Isle of Man TT in 1969 and 1970, and a double victory in the 1965 Manx Grand Prix. He died from asbestosis in 1999, aged 64.
