West Mon bus no.17, Station Terrace, Caerphilly, 1966
The West Monmouthshire Omnibus Board was a municipal undertaking jointly owned by Bedwellty and Mynyddislwyn Urban District Councils and was based in Blackwood. Its main operating area was in the Sirhowy valley, but it did have a share of the long route between Cardiff and Tredegar with Cardiff Corporation and Caerphilly. It became Islwyn Borough Transport following local government reorganisation in 1974.
The bus is a Leyland Titan PD2 with lowbridge body by Massey, delivered in 1965.
