Proposed prestigious office development, Bargoed
The words "Proposed prestigious office development" are on this empty building
on the corner of Wood Street and Hanbury Road.
No date for the development is shown. A Google Earth Street View from
September 2009 shows a similar view, with the same words on the wall...

Former Hanbury Cinema, Hanbury Square, Bargoed
Viewed in April 2018. The Cinema Treasures website records that this was originally a pre-First World War cinema named the Electric Theatre which was later closed. It reopened in late 1939 as the Hanbury Cinema. In 1955 it was a part of the Jackson Withers circuit and was still operating in 1965. It became a bingo club in the 1970s. The building appears to have been derelict since the bingo club closed many years ago.
