Nissen hut near Llandow
This old Nissen hut is undoubtedly a relic of the old airfield. A nostalgic feature of the building is the chimney pot that can just be glimpsed poking from the roof. Many an old ex-serviceman and woman, will remember the black pot-bellied fire that stood in the centre of the huts and which required the fetching of coal and constant stoking to provide the most meagre of temperatures in such frugal quarters.
