Penarth Library viewed from the north
Viewed across Stanwell Road. The grand Edwardian building was erected at the start of the 20th century with money donated by Scottish-American businessman and philanthropist Andrew Carnegie. More than 2,500 Carnegie libraries were built worldwide, including about 660 in the UK. The year inscribed above the north entrance is 1904. Penarth Library is part of the Vale of Glamorgan library service.

Garden of Remembrance in Alexandra Park, Penarth
Located near the Rectory Road entrance to the north side of the park, on a plot given to the town by the Earl of Plymouth specifically for a Garden of Remembrance. The Garden was formally opened on Armistice Day, November 11th 1934.
