On the left at 156 Holton Road is the office of Barry & District News, publishers of local newspapers.
The year 1894 is inscribed on the wall below the uppermost windows.

Holton Road post office, Barry
The post office is at 160 Holton Road, between two pubs.
Out of shot on the left is The Windsor. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3358102 On the right is O'Briens at 158 Holton Road.
The buildings both have years inscribed on them: 1895 on the post office building and 1896 on O'Briens. No doubt each building has had various occupiers in the intervening decades.
