Very tall metal pole on the corner of St Nicholas Road and The Mews, Barry
What was the function of this pole? It couldn't have been a gas lamppost,
as there are no arms to support the maintenance fitters' ladder
and it is much too high, at about twice the height of the modern
lamppost on the right.
