Exit ramp from platform 1, Merthyr Vale railway station
There is a similar ramp from platform 2. The electronic display shows that the next two departures (south) from this platform are for Barry Island then Bridgend, both currently on time. The station is on the Merthyr Tydfil branch of the Merthyr Line.

This is the way to the platform for southbound trains. There is a similar ramp to the platform for northbound trains on the west side of the station on the Merthyr Tydfil branch of the Merthyr Line.
