The Old Clock Tower, Hirwaun Road, Aberdare
Located opposite Aberdare Park. The Old Clock Tower, now a private residence, is a castellated stone building with restored working clock tower. Built in 1896 as part of Aberdare Boys Grammar School.

Bronze statue on a pedestal in Aberdare Park, Aberdare
Located in the SE corner of the park, near this http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3966898 entrance. Dated 1912 and signed by Thomas Brock RA, sculptor of London, the statue was unveiled in January 1913. Depicted is bearded Sir William T. Lewis (Lord Merthyr) holding an unrolled parchment.

Gadlys Chapel Flats, Aberdare
Located on Railway Street, Trecynon, Aberdare. Opened in 1864 as Gadlys Welsh Baptist Chapel. The chapel closed in the 1970s. Grade II listed status was awarded in 1989. The building was converted to residential flats in 1994.

Grade II listed entrance gates to Aberdare Park, Aberdare
At the southeast entrance to the park from the corner of Glan Road and Hirwaun Road. Cadw records that Aberdare Park was laid out on part of Hirwaun Common on the instigation of R H Rhys, chairman of the local Board of Health "as a pleasant place for the dust-begrimed inhabitants". The park opened on July 27th 1869. A replacement for the originals, these gates (and the gate piers and flanking railings) were Grade II listed in 1991.
