Gelli urinal
Located on the corner of Rees Street and Tyisaf Road. The facility is a basic urinal (no pedestals or wash basins). Though such facilities have largely disappeared from many parts of South Wales, basic urinals (of varying designs) remain a common sight in the Rhondda.

Brynnar J. Jones Day Centre, Gelli
Located in Rees Street. This is one of many community day centres in Rhondda Cynon Taf that anyone aged of 50 or more can visit. The centres are open through the day from Monday to Saturday.
Various social activities are available, such as old-time dancing, craft classes and indoor bowls. Other facilities include subsidised meals and snacks, bingo sessions, a TV lounge, and a quiet lounge for card and board games. Rooms are available for use by groups and associations.
