Don Skene Cycles, Rumney, Cardiff
Cycle shop at 769 Newport Road, Rumney.
Don Skene is a Welsh cycling legend (active 1951 to 1963) who retired at the age of 26 to concentrate on his cycling business. This began in 1952 when he opened a small retail shop at the top of Rumney Hill selling and repairing cycles. Don retired from the business in 2005. The shop continues, run by his son and daughter.
