Fountain Road to Tondu
The road passes through the site of the Parc Slip Nature Park to a junction where taking a right turn leads to Tondu. The junction to the left leads into one half of the reserve containing walks, cycle paths, two lakes and a 'canal' through woodland. The 'canal' is not navigable and its original purpose is lost.

Parc Slip Nature Park Centre - Tondu
Entrance and information centre of the nature park. Built on the site of a colliery that was levelled and the ground filled and restored to form a variety of habitats for wildlife including woods and wetlands.

Formed from an old millpond at the back of the reserve centre the extended pond is surrounded by a small area of mature woodland and scrub with well vegetated edges.
