The Cardiff Great War Memorial, Hendre Lake Park
Life Cut Short
This hand carved granite memorial is dedicated to all those who served their country in the Great War of 1914 to 1918.
The symbolism of a tree cut through, reflects the many lives that were cut short in their living, growing and hopeful youth.
Whether in death or from wounds physically and mentally. For those who lived in the horrors of the front line trench and for those at home, desperately waiting for news.
So many lost:
