George Thomas Hospice Care is a major provider of free consultant-led community specialist palliative care to those with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses in Cardiff. The hospice was founded by George Thomas, 1st Viscount Tonypandy, who was best known to the general public as Speaker of the House of Commons from 1976 to his retirement in 1983.
