Railtour passing Pengam Sidings
Class 47 No. 47773 passes Pengam with a Vintage Trains' railtour from Birmingham to Cardiff. The 47 worked from Newport to Cardiff to avoid another turning move; the rest of the tour was worked with Castle-class steam locomotive No. 7029 Clun Castle, which was on the rear here.

Class 70 in Pengam Sidings
Colas Rail class 70 locomotive No. 70816 and some buddleia add a splash of colour to the scene at Pengam sidings. The locomotive is heading an engineers' train from Marshfield to Westbury and has just run around its wagons in the sidings having been in engaged in track work on the South Wales Main Line between Newport and Cardiff.

Railtour in Pengam Sidings
Vintage Trains' Birmingham to Cardiff railtour was worked top-and-tail with Castle-class No. 7029 Clun Castle and class 47 No. 47773, with the empty stock being taken to Pengam Sidings. Here, the train's two locomotives come face-to-face as the castle reverses past to where it will be serviced on the branch to Tidal Sidings.
