Construction of the new Metro depot at Taffs Well
Looking along the stabling sidings with two Class 398 tram-trains present. Electification of these sidings is underway; it seems that a contact bar is to be provided here instead of a contact wire, with alternate sections already in place. Crossing the tracks in the foreground is a girder for signals; this would be lifted into place, spanning the tracks, over the next few days.

View over the recently cleared site in Taffs Well, which will become a depot for Transport for Wales' South Wales Metro. Previously, this was the site of South Wales Forgemasters; note the inlaid rails still present, though these had not been used for many years.
