Manor Parc Hotel
This hotel started life as a grand house in this area. Then in the 70's some of the out buildings were used as a church. The house was turned into an hotel in the 80's, it is a very popular place, the food is great and the gardens are stunning.

Helicopter in a field, Heol Hir, Thornhill, Cardiff
As it went past me, I didn't immediately realise that a low-flying helicopter was preparing to land in a field nearby, on the corner of Heol Hir and Capel Gwilym Road. I waited several minutes for its blades to stop rotating before taking the photo. Its identification letters are G-PLAL, a twin-engine Eurocopter built in Germany in 2005.
